Eight Months and Counting...

So Mommy has informed me that it's time to give everyone an update on how I'm doing.  She noticed that we haven't updated my blog in a couple of months!

So I'm getting so big!  Well, I think I am at least.  Mommy wasn't so sure when I crawled out of my 3-6 pants Tuesday....

I've celebrated my first Easter....

I'm eating baby food now and even eating crackers!

I can sit in my stroller like a big girl now!  That's a pretty big deal since Mommy and I have been taking lots of walks.

I've had my first picnic....

And my first time in a swing...

As you might have noticed I'm kind of crawling.  I haven't quiet mastered crawling on my knees, but I can roll and army crawl really well!  My puppies aren't going to be safe much longer.

I've been helping Mommy and Daddy in the yard some, too.   I've added class to the place with my snazzy outfit....

I've been exploring all kinds of new toys......

And helped Mommy celebrate her first Mothers Day!

Well, I guess that's the big news!  I'm going on my first vacation in a couple of weeks so I'll have Mommy update with pictures after that!

Later!

6 Months and Still Growing....

Hello everyone!  It's been forever since I've had Mommy update you on how I'm doing.

I'm 6 months old now.  I like to roll over and I LOVE my walker that Grandma and Grandpa Vieck got me for Christmas!  At my doctor's appointment I weighed 13 lbs 6.4 oz.  I really like learning to talk.  I don't say any words yet, but I really like it when Mommy and Daddy try to talk like me.  They're funny!

I'm really interested in watching my puppies now.

They like to give me kisses and it makes me laugh!

I'm just started eating some baby food.  So far I've only tried sweet potatoes, but I'm getting used to them and kind of like how they taste.  They feel a little strange though.

I still go to daycare three days a week and I really like my time with Miss Crystal.  I have a few art projects I've brought home.  Tomorrow I'm getting my 6 month pictures taken and I'm sure when we get those back that Mommy will share some of them on here.

And did I mention that I've started using the big girl part of the cart sometimes now?  Yep!  I'm using the part that I sit in!  Mommy has to use blankets and coats to help me sit up, but I feel like a big girl!

Well, Bye for now!

Five Months and Counting.....

Has it really been so long since I had Mommy update my fans?

I'm 5 months old now!  Crazy isn't it?  Since I really should only be about 3 months old, I'm just now working my way to my 3-6 month clothes.  Mommy has put me in a couple, but I'm still getting some use out of those 0-3 month clothes.  I've rolled over on my own once, but since I'm kind of like my Daddy and like to sleep on my tummy I usually don't waste too much time with staying awake when I get there.

Mommy started MOPS this month and we've gone to two of those meetings now.  They have a really nice grandma that watches me in the nursery while Mommy visits the other Mommy's.  Miss Natalie and I are getting along really well.

Let's see....  Oh, I got to meet my new friend Olive today.  Her Mommy and my Mommy are friends and we'll be in the same room at daycare for a little while at least.  So anyway we took a nap together, but I ended up playing with Olive's big brother Ephraim more than I did Olive.  We had lots of fun sticking our tongues out at each other and playing with his doggie, Clifford and my dolly, Molly.

I did get sick for the first time a couple of weeks ago.  That wasn't much fun, but Mommy said I was really good and didn't fuss too much.  Of course after my cold, I had to go see the doctor and they are having Mommy put drops in my eyes.  I don't care for that too much, but Mommy says we have to do it so....  The really cool thing is that at the doctor they weighed me and I was 12 1/2 lbs.  Daddy was pretty excited about that.

Well, that's all from the Princess Baby for now!

Love you all!!!

Life in the New Year

Wow!  It's been such a busy few weeks!  I celebrated my first Christmas and New Year and yesterday I started my first day at daycare!

Christmas was lots of fun!  We went to church on Christmas Eve with Mommy's friends from work Ingrid and Pastor Randy and then we came home and I got to open my Christmas Jammies and movie.  So for Christmas Eve we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  I really liked the bright colors and the music.

Here's a picture of me in my Jammies

For Christmas I got a really neat vanity that sings and teaches me my ABC's and counting, a set of books about a Boston Terrier named Mirabelle and one of those stacking ring toys.  After we had a slow morning I went to see my first movie.  We saw Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.  I did really good and after it was over we went to a Chinese restaurant.  Daddy seemed to think that was a cool thing....  Not sure I understand how adults think.

Oh, here's a picture of another present I got.  I'm all ready to roll once I can hold my head up enough!  Mommy and Daddy love it because it folds up and stores really well and takes up next to no space.  They get really excited about that kind of stuff now.  I think it must be an adult thing.  The really funny thing is that Mommy was the one that had to take it out and put it all together as soon as we got home from Grandma & Grandpa Vieck's!

And then there was New Year's.  We didn't really do anything New Year's Eve.  New Year's Day we were suppose to spend time with Mommy and Daddy's friends Mr Matt and Ms Sarah and I was suppose to get to meet Olive, but Mommy thought she might be getting sick so we put that off.  Mommy wasn't sick though so we went to Half Price Books for a little bit.

Mommy and Daddy must really like that store since we went to Half Price Books again Sunday....  Do you think they expect me to like books that much?

Anyway, I started daycare yesterday.  I kind of miss my Ally, but Miss Crystal seems really nice and I did good my first day there.  In other news, tonight Mommy and I are going to check out MOPS.  Mommy had some friends that thought it would be a good idea and a way for her to meet other mommies.

So as you can tell my life is getting really busy!!!

Until later, everyone!

It's Almost Christmas!!

It's so exciting!!  Christmas is almost here!  There are presents under the tree and Mommy even already filled our stockings.  She said something about getting tired of moving the boxes with our stocking stuffers around.  I think Daddy's looks a little fuller than mine....  I don't think they've figured out that I'm the Princesness Baby and should have the fuller stocking...

In other news...  I had my first picture with Santa.  Daddy says I'm not suppose to suck my thumb, but Santa seemed to be ok with it.

We had Christmas with Daddy's family.  I got to hang out with my Mamaw Schrougham some and I managed to spend some time with my cousins, Ashley, Andrea & Ally getting some fashion tips.  I got a really neat stuffed snowman from my Great Mamaw Cleda.  Mommy thinks its funny to sing "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" to me every time she gives it to me.  Daddy thinks she's silly and I'm pretty sure he's right!  At least she hasn't named him Olaf yet...

We also had our Christmas with Aunt Jaimy & Uncle Kirby.  I got lots of attention!  Aunt Jaimy's Mommy and Daddy kept me entertained and gave my Mommy and Daddy a chance to visit (I'm pretty sure they are missing their little buddy, Justus, but I'll help him out and stand in until he can come to visit again).   I got a really cool stuffed elephant and a book about Christmas!  Kyle read it to me and then he decided to wear a bow like mine!  And we took a picture of course...

The last two Sunday's I've worn really fancy dresses!  One my Mamaw got me and it's all silver and sparkly and because Mommy is a new Mommy and didn't know she should have washed it really well before I wore it.  I was ok with it since I left a trail of sparkles everywhere I went, just like a fairy princess!  Of course, since we visited Mommy's friend Pastor Jeremy at his church that Sunday, Mommy felt really bad for the person who cleans for them!

This Sunday I wore a red and green Christmas dress!  I was all dressed up and even wore shoes for a while.

Don't I look pretty?

Oh, and did I mention that Daddy built me my first blanket fort?

What do you think?

Merry Christmas to Everyone!
Love,
Princess Myka

All Things Christmas

It's beginning to look like Christmas around here and I have lots of outfits to prove it!  I'm a regular Christmas Princess!

Saturday Mommy, Daddy and I checked out Victorian Christmas.  I saw my first puppet show and we had a lot of fun!

In other news, I've watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for the first time.  I really liked the music and colors.  Mommy is pretty sure I actually paid attention!  Of course Daddy was there to save me from the Abominable Snowman, so everything was ok.

I've also started playing with my toys (if Mommy puts them in my hand at least...  But I have fun).

Tonight, Mommy says we are going to decorate my very own tree for my room.  It has bright colored lights, but I'm trying to decide if I need flashing lights or some that just stay on....  Well I'll have Mommy post some pictures after we get it decorated.

Talk to you later!

The Thanksgiving Adventure

Goodness!  It's been such a busy time for me!  With Thanksgiving, holiday shopping, checking our Vincennes and meeting all of my cousins I've been really moving!

I met my cousin Shae first.  I think she's going to be a big helper!  She's already helping me with fashion choices.  She picked out my jammies for to wear the first night she came to visit me!  She also helped me eat supper.

My next big day was Thanksgiving!

Wasn't my outfit the best?  I'm pretty sure no one else had one quite like it!  Oh my goodness...  Was Thanksgiving busy!  There was such a big crowd at lunch!  I was quite the center of attention.  Mommy still made me take a nap though.  Right in the middle of all the big people action!

After we were done with lunch with Daddy's family we went to Vincennes for the weekend!  It was my first big trip!  I met so many people!  I met my great-aunts, Lynn, Sally and Peggy and also my Great-Grandpa Vieck.

Friday, Mommy and I went shopping with Aunt Sally and Grandma Vieck.  We got some pretty good deals!  Mommy stocked up on some movies for this winter for us to watch with Daddy.  In fact, I think she might be planning a Harry Potter marathon if we get snowed in....  I bought my Christmas present for Daddy!  I think he'll really like it!  Of course Mommy helped, but it's definitely from me!  I'll have to have Mommy share a picture of it when he opens it!

I also got to go check out my Uncle Nathan & Aunt Jennifer's house.  Did I mention I got to spend time with my cousin's Billy and Wyatt this trip?  I even got to help decorate Grandma Vieck's tree!  Well, ok, I put one ornament on the tree, but next year maybe I can help as much as my cousin's Billy and Wyatt did!

On Saturday, Mommy, Daddy and I checked out Vincennes.  We went out to eat at Baker's Alley and went shopping at the Fort Sackville Project and Faith Store there.

I got to meet more of Mommy and Daddy's friends (yes, Daddy has friends in Vincennes!  Isn't that crazy?)  Then we went to visit my Great-great-aunt Loretta.  Of course then there was Thursday Church on Sunday!  I kind of slept through most of it though....  And that was with Mommy and Daddy picking a seat fairly close to the front!  Mommy kind of thought the drums might wake me up, but not this girl!  I didn't get to hear Pastor Debbie since she wasn't there, but Pastor Dave did a good job (I slept through the music, but was awake for some of the message).

Well, that's what's up with this Princess Baby!
Until later...
